LEIGH PILKINGTON, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Leigh Pilkington is an accomplished football professional with extensive experience in elite player development, coaching education, and program management. As the Technical Director of ALBION Soccer Club Fairfield, he leads the club’s technical vision and ensures that players and coaches operate within a high-performance development environment aligned with global best practices.

Leigh has coached at some of the world’s top soccer organizations, including Bayern Munich, FC Porto, and Liverpool FC. He holds multiple coaching licenses, including the USSF Director of Coaching and the USSF Club Technical Leader certification. His expertise spans talent identification, curriculum development, and creating pathways for players to progress into collegiate and professional soccer.

In addition to his role at ALBION SC Fairfield, Leigh is currently an assistant coach for Westchester Soccer Club, a USL League One team based in Westchester, NY. His experience in professional soccer adds another dimension to his leadership, providing valuable insight into high-level player development and team management.

Leigh is deeply committed to player advancement, with a track record of placing over 100 players into college programs in the past decade. He was also part of the coaching staff that secured the 2022 US Soccer National Championship. Beyond his coaching credentials, he has successfully managed large-scale sports programs, overseeing coaching staff, budgeting, and operational planning while fostering strong relationships within the soccer community.

At ALBION SC Fairfield, Leigh applies his extensive knowledge and leadership to elevate the club’s competitive standing, mentor coaches, and implement strategic development plans that ensure long-term success for both players and the organization.
